The top 6 VET resources—as voted by you

December 10, 2018

Whether you’re new to the industry or a VETeran, staying up to date with the latest news and events can be overwhelming.

Earlier this year we asked you, the people of VET, to share your go-to resources for keeping your skills and knowledge sharp. With a vast range of responses, we compiled the list into the top 6 so that you can mastermind all things compliance and training.

1. LinkedIn

What better way to stay informed of the latest VET happenings than by connecting with others in the industry? Associate with other professionals and join RTO-specific groups on LinkedIn to get the latest and greatest news delivered to your feed. Our favourites are National RTO Network, Australian VET Leaders, and RTO - Professional Discussion Group.

2. Velg

The Velg Training Knowledge Hub provides fantastic information on all things training. Whether you’re familiar with the VET world or a new kid on the block, Velg is your one-stop knowledge shop covering topics like reporting and staying on top of standards. Sign up to the weekly newsletter to get highlights delivered straight to your inbox, or check out their eZines.

3. Understand TAE

The Understand TAE team have a wealth of knowledge and are big on using visuals and video to help you understand the industry. Keep an eye out on the blog for new posts and check out their visual aids and video resources.

The NCVER RTO Hub contains all the data you could ever need to tackle your day-to-day tasks. Highlights include the RTO fact sheets which provide comprehensive information on collecting, validating, and submitting your data, as well as AVETMISS support resources to make the reporting process as simple as possible.

If you want to get into the nitty-gritty, ASQA’s got what you need. Ensure that you’re knowledgeable across the board by checking out the news and publications tab.

6. VET:eXpress

Last but not least, VET:eXpress provides sharp insights into the training industry. Here you’ll find easy-to-digest articles and guides to make understanding VET a breeze. Make sure you subscribe to stay updated with new articles about the industry.
